In this video, Sean discusses bridges and why they can be a difficult obstacle for some horses on trail rides. He talks about the noise of hooves on the bridge and the claustrophobia that the horses can be spooked by, and how to help them feel confident and unphased by this. In the previous part of this series, they took on a large body of shallow water. Next to this water is a higher and longer bridge than the one they encountered earlier in the ride (Session 2 - Crossing a Bridge on the Trail). Sean and his team tackle the bridge and the challenges it faces, then ride through the water and over the bridge in a cycle to build the horses’ confidence and prepare them for day 2 of the trail ride.
