It’s so important to walk any cross country course that you plan to ride on, whether it is a competition or a schooling session. As the rider, it is your job to give the horse confidence, so you need to be able to know the fences well and be confident in how you ride them. Walking the course helps you get a good understanding of the fences in order to do this!
