Paula Curtis helps you learn how to explore with your horse at liberty in his space. The aim is to promote the development of Curiosity vs Fear by introducing new objects and observing their reaction in their environment.

Start with a single interesting item i.e. poles, cones, tarps, etc… into your horse's environment, and observe how he interacts with them on his own.
What did you learn about him?
What are his tendencies with these new experiences?
How will this change how you interact with him?
Introduce a variety of objects into his environment, and be a part of the process.
Using what has been learned through your observations in the last couple of days, now introduce more objects, and try to help your horse learn about them with you.

It's not just about fun and games (although those are important too!), but also about building a deeper connection and understanding of your equine partner.

As your horse roams freely, take note of his habits and patterns. 📝 These observations are golden nuggets of insight that you can use to tailor your training approach when you're back on the line.
